Intrics President & CEO Named One of Virginia’s Most Powerful Leaders

RetailData and Intrics President and CEO Jacob Blondin has been named one of the 500 most powerful and influential leaders in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia Business Magazine releases its list annually and recognizes leaders across the state in various industries including professional services, government, retail, and more.

“Real leaders set values and direction but empower those below them—not just to get the job done, but also to demonstrate shared organizational values, unlock creativity and generate new ideas from the people who are closest to customers and the tasks at hand,” writes Bernie Niemeier in his note from the publisher on the release of the 2022 Virginia 500 list. “True leaders maintain a focus on culture and values that lead the organization forward in good times and bad. That the sustainable power of good leadership in action.”

Culture and values are at the heart of Blondin’s vision for RetailData. Since joining the company in 2015 as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Blondin has been a powerhouse in his approach to retail intelligence. After being named President in 2020, Blondin noticed a trend of success among retailers who had embraced the omnichannel market and began looking for ways that RetailData could best support retailers. By focusing on building an internal team with the right sets of skills, experience, and passion for the industry, Blondin has seen impressive growth in RetailData in just the last two years.

Most recently, Blondin spearheaded the launch of the new SaaS-based retail intelligence and consulting firm, Intrics, a turn-key solution designed to provide market insights and strategic support for retailers. Blondin also oversaw the acquisition of Loginworks in 2021, a state-of-the-art eCommerce data extraction and software development company to serve as a forceful powerhouse behind Intrics.

“The future of retail is evolving, and finding the best path forward is not an easy puzzle to solve,” says Blondin. “We feel our expertise in eCommerce and brick-and-mortar channels, expansive data experience, and newly bolstered product capabilities allow us to cater to each retailer’s unique strategy.”

Blondin graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and received his MBA from Arizona State University.
