About the Strategy Consultant Role

The Strategy Consultant will be an integral part of the Intrics team responsible for holistically managing client engagement and value creation. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, delivering best-in-class insights and analyses to further their business needs. As client needs become evident, you will be responsible for defining scopes and managing each engagement to ensure all projects are executed to our client’s specifications. Your goal will be to present clear and thoughtful outcomes to our client’s business questions. Occasional travel to the client site may be required.


This role will report to the VP of Retail Strategy and can operate out of our Glen Allen, VA headquarters, or remote.

    Bachelor's Degree (3+ years of work experience preferred, but not required)

Key Role Responsibilities


Strategic Client Enablement
  • Work with Business Development to drive insights creation around market structure, performance, and capabilities to identify and scope project opportunities
  • Manage a variety of client engagements (both custom and syndicated) that deliver high-value results
  • Support development of process-driven products from custom requests enabling repeatability for internal teams
  • Find and create innovative ways to engage with new and current clients around insights, analytical augmentation, and software/product development needs.

Insights Engineering
  • Collaborate with VP of Retail Strategy to develop forward-thinking industry insights to be published and shared across a variety of audiences
  • Develop and add to a library of strategic insights templates for key touchpoints with both Retail and Brand clients, including outreach and ongoing engagement

What we are looking for


  • Bachelor's Degree (3+ years work experience preferred but not required)
  • Management Consulting or Experience in CPG or Retail (preferably within Brand Marketing, Category Management, or Insights Teams).
  • Strong, clear presentation skills and a willingness to tackle tough, out-of-the-box problems.
  • High-level power user of Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel (SQL knowledge preferred, but not required)
  • Understanding of syndicated and household panel data (Nielsen/IRi/Numerator/etc.) and how it is used effectively in the CPG/Retail Industry
