Senior Front End Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Front End Developer is primarily responsible for development of one or more front-end applications using HTML5, Angular (8 or above), and related technologies. Also, responsible for support of existing applications developed.

Role/Responsibilities

• Responsible for minimal oversight or support, designs, develops, and maintains enterprise-wide web applications using Angular, Typescript, HTML5, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Responsible for participating in all stages of the development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Responsible to Builds applications that consume components from approved in-house design libraries and contributes to the libraries as needed to improve on and maintain a common set of design elements.
• Responsible to create unit tests for front end applications using Jasmine, JEST, or other front-end testing frameworks.
• Ensures that the company coding standards are met and feeds back updates to standards as needed for adoption.
• Partner with US based product owners, business analysts, software engineers, architects, UX and design professionals to define clear product feature and functional requirements to ensure successful delivery within the Agile delivery methodology.
• Experience working on Agile teams and familiarity with all Agile ceremonies.
• Work with US business stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met
• Should be adaptable to US time zone whenever required to have meetings with onshore counterparts.
• Keeps current with new technologies and software methodologies related to the Microsoft software development platform.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive application development using HTML5, CSS, Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, Bootstrap, RXJS, and JavaScript.
• Ensures layout and navigation of pages follow standard theming.
• Ensures application is accessible from a variety of modern browsers and ensures mobile designs are considered.
• Ensures the proper state models and services are used for the applications being developed.
• Experience with front-end state models including Redux or Akita are preferred.
• Experience with third-party UI components including Kendo UI is preferred.
• Ensures authentication follows standard practices for the applications being developed.
• Cross-trains and supports API development as needed.
• Experience working with following is preferred:
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• .Net Framework
• Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control
• Test-driven development and mocking frameworks
• Front-end state models
• Test-driven development
• GIT for source control
• Third-party UI components including Kendo UI
• OAUTH authentication and Azure Libraries
• Azure DevOps for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
