QA Lead

Job Summary

Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is an expert, who will be responsible for QA process (Automation & Manual both as per business requirement), a subject matter expert from Process & Solutions aspects of QA framework & tool set. The individual expert will be advising and applying best practices from the industry, with a focus on Quality Assurance (QA). This may include developing test strategies, QA Automation & Manual, drawing up test documents, identifying bugs, and reviewing reports. The Lead should have good hands in overseeing QA engineers and someone who coordinates with US business stakeholders to ensure test plans meet requirements.
By possessing these skills and qualities, the candidate can excel as an individual contributor while also effectively advising and influencing the organization towards QA best practices.

Role/Responsibilities

• Must have strong software quality assurance knowledge.
• Should have a deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and technologies relevant to the industry
• Well-versed in industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA
• Candidate should be able to articulate ideas, concepts, and best practices clearly to both technical and non- technical stakeholders.
• Should have the ability to influence and persuade others to adopt QA best practices. This includes effectively communicating the value of QA processes, methodologies, and tools to stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are important to identify areas for improvement within the QA processes. The candidate should be able to analyse data, metrics, and feedback to drive continuous improvement in QA practices.
• The candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration of QA practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Should be open to change and adaptable to evolving technologies and methodologies in the QA field.
• Must have experience in API testing.
• Responsible for leading QA scope for all stages of the development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Good to have experience with automated testing tools such as LoadRunner and Selenium
• Good experience working on Agile teams and extensive familiarity with all Agile ceremonies.
• Coordinates with US business stakeholders to ensure test plans meet requirements.
• Keeps current with new technologies and software methodologies related to the Microsoft software development platform.
• Work with US business stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met.
• Should be adaptable to US time zone whenever required to have meetings with onshore counterparts.
• Keeps update with new software testing methodologies related to the Microsoft software development platform.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in software QA including test plan development, documentation, and feedback mechanisms.
• Experience working with Agile teams and familiarity with all Agile ceremonies and principles,
• Experience working with following is preferred:

1. Automated testing frameworks such as LoadRunner and Selenium
2. Microsoft Test Plans and Azure Dev Ops
3. Knowledge of web design, HTML5, and CSS
4. Design tools such as InVision or Adobe XD
5. SQL Server 2016
6. Knowledge of python
